Thing is.. and I'm no genius as you well know, our taxes already dont cover the nation's bills. It's like someone making 20k a year living the lifestyle of a person making 100k a year using credit to make up the difference. Eventually you hit a tipping point.
What happens when thay tipping point is reached?
The roman empire did something similar at towards the end of its existence. Giving the people whatever it wanted to stave off falling...
While I'm sure something like this would. E more than welcomed by 99 percent of the population (myself included) that doesnt make it a smart move.
I Would be happy to see mfg pull out of China and come home. That would at least help long term.

Not everyone has a house or bank where a check could show up but EVERYONE has a $1000 smartphone with internet access.

Looks like a Democrat way of being able to tell people they "tried" to take care of everyone but uncle Donald wouldn't let them.

For this to happen it would take roughly a 5 trillion dollar package just for this expense. That's not counting whatever they would try to give large corporations and small businesses as part of the same bill..... doesnt seem very likely.
