One of the reasons I wanted to try out CBD was for neuro pain, which it does help, but I still need to take the prescriptions that I was on before CBD, at least for now, being fairly new to CBD. One drug that I take for breakthrough pain, Gabapentin (Neurontin) is considered a narcotic in the state of KY. I have to sign a contract every 6 months, or so, basically saying I'm not Dr. shopping and such, which gets turned over to Kasper. Last week, I had to renew that contract for the first time, which also requires a urinalyis. I was curious to find out those results. Today I got a call saying that I tested positive for THC.
When the nurse gave me this information, the next thing out of her mouth was, "Are you using CBD or marijuana?", which somewhat relieved me, but still scared me, I don't know why, really. I told her I've been using CBD, asked her if it was going to be a problem, so I'm still waiting for a call back, since she has to talk to my Doc.`
Maybe a year ago, I asked my doc if she knew much about CBD, since I had been reading positive things about it and was interested in trying it, but at that time, she didn't, so I kind of let it go. Let's hope she knows more about it now and is cool with it.
I still hope to one day be free of the meds that I currently take for neuropathy, but at this time, I do still require them.
Kinda venting, but also wanted to inform.
