Laws on growing recreational and medicinal on a property near a school?

My boyfriend and I will be buying a house and will be trying to be caregivers plus growing recreationally. How close can our house be to a school? Is there any laws against this? I can't seem to find anything anywhere on this. This is in Michigan by the way. Any help would be appreciated!!
