I had like 5g of kief I made into a nice little slab of hash. I put the kief in parchment paper and rolled a glass water bottle filled with just shy of boiling water, took about 15/20min.

Heck yea man. I used to have a screw down cylinder press I'd make kief pucks out of. Chip a little bit off on some flower and have great session

I picked up a “pollen” press off Amazon that sounds like what you had, works great!

Is Hash just pressed kief basically? Because when I buy Keif to mix with my meds if you were to pinch it, it would stick together much like what im looking at.

Yep. All the videos I watched just showed warming and compressing the kief.
