Discussion on pot taken in edible forms being Psychedelic

I've once been so high off an edible where i died and faded out of existence and then i remember waking up and just staring at my room but not as me more as like an observer with no past no ego. I might have experienced ego death off an edible. As i stared i didnt care about my self or my needs. It sounds so weird but its like i was observing reality without and ego. Hard to explain but i felt like i was on a potent mushroom experience. Im not bashing on marijuana at all i just wanna know if anyones experienced something like this? Currently Im drinking a coffee with at least a couple hundred mg so im trying to experience that again.
