So is anyone really worried about this thing?
What are you doing in reaction to it?

Both Ohio and Lousiana have canceled school until april 13th for k-12.
Both states colleges have canceled classes for the remainder of the semester
Both states have put a stop to large gatherings. (More than 250 people)
To date jazzfest has not yet been canceled, but that is last weakend of April until the first weekend of may.

For us, we are heading to pick up a few things tonight and have about 2-3 weeks of groceries on hand plus a case of ramen and some other Non- perishables. We have not loaded up on to and our bungholes are happy. We are going on one last big date night tomorrow assuming we wont be able to do much after this weekend.
After this weekend we are looking forward to the longest month in life being stuck inside with two children.

Here
I needed a regular grocery trip, so decided to go after work last night, or early this morning, depending on how you look at it. It was going on 3am, but I wanted to avoid the madness I knew I'd see in the daylight. I was able to find most of what I needed. While I don't immediately need toilet paper, I knew there wouldn't be any. The only thing I saw in that aisle was paper towels. Oh, and a lonely jug of water that someone left behind, lol. At the check out, one lady had no less than 12 bottles of toilet bowl cleaner and nothing else. Because of the panic buyers, if you see something you need, you need to buy a lot of it. So frustrating.

My anxiety has been pretty high, lately, but that's all work related. Now people at work are all freaking out, so anxiety is now in overdrive. I just wanna be left alone while I'm there, but it won't happen.

Schools here are also closed. Large gatherings are getting canceled. NCAA tourney and all other sports being canceled, boyfriend is bummed. His mom wanted to go to her church chili supper tomorrow night for her birthday, but that's also canceled.

Another thing it's affecting, is at the other place, regular fun, informative, or useful threads are being overtaken by Corona, rather that starting a new one and letting the others be. So we're surrounded by it. That's just me being frustrated by it all and venting, though.

And I have a headache. Uh oh.

We have stuff stocked up like cleaning supplies, food for us and the animals. Toilet paper etc etc. Neither of us have any doctors appts till the start of April. If stuff looks real bad I may cancel, but that will only be if it's REALLY bad as they are important appts. When I was at the pain clinic Wed there were only 3 people along with me in there. Quietest I have ever seen the place. Well, other than the pissed off patient the gal at the front desk was in a heated discussion with. Hey, worked out for me :)

Oh god, this means hubby is gonna wanna do the boom boom thing more often out of boredom.............eeeewwwww LOL. Lack of hormones sucks! Yes TMI, but hey, we are all friends here.

I guess what's effecting me the most is the lack of common sense people have these days.
You know, while I am concerned due to the fact I have a very poor immune system. I think I am still healthy enough where if I did get it, I will be okay. I saw an article where they had drive up testing going on and cars were lined up for hours. I find that concerning. I mean, all those tests being used on young healthy people. Plus if one of them does test positive, are they then going to be good about it and then go isolate themselves? I'm not so sure.

People panic. It's way overboard, you're right. We got some extra stuff but it's more for if we do happen to get ill we don't want to go out and spread it around.

Wow, okay worse than I thought. Hubby decided to do to click shop stuff ( where you order it online ) and ya most everything he is clicking on is coming up OOS Soups etc etc. Forget it. We did it more out of curiosity as we really don't need anything. Just silly LOL and the only time he can pick up would be 7 to 8pm that's how booked it is. Can we say panic mode is in full force in Las Vegas?

All Schools are closed until at least March 30th.

I just got to the dispensary today so i'll be good for a while with MMJ.
I have plenty of CBD in flower and oil form so i'm all good there.
I have to go to the pain management doctor every month and then the pharmacy every month.
That's not until the end of the month.
We'll see how that goes.

Doesn't it seem utterly ridiculous that the most pain, stress and anxiety happens when people are worrying over their big pharma pain, stress, and anxiety medicine?
It kind of defeats the purpose

Another thought I had and this is just sad. What about mothers with little babies? Are they going to be able to get the formula and baby food they NEED!! Little ones ( infants ) are so limited in what they can eat. I sure hope we have something in place to be able to provide to them. I do know some of the stores are starting to put limits on certain items. Too little too late I'm afraid :(

Here in Pa they just closed schools. My sister is down in Potomac Md,by dc. and they are all crazed.,esp her. Biggest problem is my mom though-she is in a new sr home now and sis and family are there several time a day and try to take her out. They were just here and we loaded up a bunch of mom's furniture to take to new home as it is more like a studio apt. rather than a mini hotel room, and my mom wanted to try to make it more homey. The home said they didn't want the furniture delivered now and is no longer allowing any visitors. Mom is not happy as sister does a lot for her-and she does need a lot of help.Gets very confused-will be 91 on 3/17. Not happy we are no longer having birthday dinner tomorrow with her. She asked me today if I was still as sneaky now as when I was a teen so I could sneak in then sneak her out. I do really feel for her though.
The flu is rampant down there also so....I really feel for the people now out of work with no income etc etc and the trickle down effect -have no idea how some people will get by.

I am so terribly sorry to hear this. I do hope some people start to come to their senses soon. But I fear this is only the tip of the iceberg. Soooooo CAN you sneak in? :)
