CBD Olive Oil Infusion - Higher Strength

I'm uploading the pics from my last infusion.
I used 30 grams of untrimmed bud and a 30 gram farmers batch from CBD Hemp Direct
They were on sale for $15 and $7.50 so I spent about $27 total with the olive oil included.

It came out way stronger, dark green/brown in color
I used 10oz of Olive Oil in the 60 Grams of Flower.
Decarbed for 45 minutes at around 250f


I took the best looking 15 grams out of each of the 30 gram untrimmed bud packs to keep and I used what was left along with all of the 30g farmers batch

15ml per 8 oz of oil.
I used 10 oz of oil so I added a little extra


This pic has 8oz of oil weighed out.
There was so much flower that I decided to add 2 more ounces of oil after I put it in the Infuzium.


I set it to the regular oil 1 hour setting.
It takes about an hour and 20 minutes for some reason.
There is a load grinding noise that comes from the blade.
It comes on and off throughout the process.



You can tell it infused very well because this brown blob used to be 60 grams of flower.

I have no clue.
if you know the potency of your flower and how good the extraction process you can take a guess.
With mine the darker and more bitter it is the stronger it is.
The less it tastes like the original base the better.

Okay thanks. Well I did the infusion in VG and while it has that nice earthy herbal taste, it also is sweet like honey Tastes very close to some CBD honey sticks I had a very long time ago.

how did you get it to infuse?
was there heat involved? stirring? etc...

I did this with a slow cooker. I read on another site that you don't have to do it 24 hrs. 8 to 10 is also okay. I did it for 10 hours. It must have come out okay cuz when I put a teaspoon in a cup of tea I do get a bit tingly head feeling after about an hour. Orrrrrrr maybe it's a placebo effect, who knows

I really like that unit, sure looks like it makes life a lot easier.

It does.
But if I make something smaller like brownies I end up using the stove still.
it makes amazing infused olive and coconut oil though.
I could always use 1/3 cup of the oil I end up with and put it in the brownie mix.

it takes a larger amount of flower.
at least 14 grams.
It did much better with 60 grams but I had to add a little extra oil.

I think 1 cup (8oz) to 25 to 50 grams is the ideal amount for this machine.
I'm going to try 1oz to 1 cup in the future and i'll let you know what happens.

The alcohol infusion looks interesting.
